{kirchoff travel diaries} new year's eve

This was our first morning on vacation to actually get to sleep in and man did it feel good! Once up we ate breakfast

Took some pics

got on all the gear and headed for the slopes.

We were all pretty excited to be skiing as a family today.

Man did Amelia impress us! She is such a great skier and ski school was worth every penny!

Cameron and I spent the morning taking turns one of us skiing with her on the bunny slope and the other one going to the top with the boys. This day was freezing cold! It snowed really hard the majority of the day. We decided on a late lunch at the condo because we had tickets to go tubing at 3:30. We grabbed some more pictures before walking down.

Then once there I grabbed a photographer to take a group pic of us...the only one we have on this trip!

Tubing in Angel Fire is so much fun. Tubing in the snow is quite the adventure ;)

An hour later we were done and decided to walk down order the picture we had taken then walk down to the Lodge and walk around and check things out.

After stopping in a few shops and grabbing a couple of adult beverages, it was around 5pm and the fireworks show started around 5:45 so we walked back up to the condo, grabbed a few drinks for everyone and found a spot right outside the condo to watch the parade of lights and fireworks. Or location this year was so perfect! I want to stay here every year :)

It was soooo cold and we were sitting in snow but we were all excited for the fireworks and the new year ahead.

The show was great! There is just something special about seeing fireworks over the snow.

When they were over we headed back to our room for dinner and night of games while we waited for midnight.

What seemed like forever, midnight finally arrived! We counted down, toasted the new year

and got in bed ready for our last day of skiing. I remember laying there feeling so grateful for 2018 and excited and hopeful for 2019.
