a week of thankfulness

After a week of relaxing, fun activities and lots of family the kids are back in school. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week and I am convinced that the older the kids get, the more enjoyable holidays are :)

We started off the week going to see the Nutcracker. It was good...a little weird but good.

Sunday we celebrated my niece turning 11 with a skating birthday party.

Monday we played with friends at the house then ran to Costco in the evening to get a few things for Thanksgiving. I forgot that Costco this time of year with kids can be little nuts with all the toys out for Christmas. We did survive. Tuesday I enlisted the kids help and we cleaned out house all day and got ready to host Thanksgiving. They really did a great job and never complained. It was nice. I did a grocery curbside pickup and we were set for Thursday.

Wednesday we had a full day planned. First, we met up with an old friend of mine and her daughters at a local trampoline place.

Corinna and I have been friends since 7th grade. We lost touch after Asher as born and 2 weeks ago I just happened to run into her at the library! It was pretty crazy but I'm so glad we found each other again :)

And we have girls the same age. They were instant friends.

After all that jumping fun we ran a few errands then went to Amelia's 6 year checkup. That went well, she's growing good and thankfully no shots this year! After a few more errands we stopped in to see Ralph Breaks the Internet.

We are big fans of the Wreck it Ralph movies and this one did not disappoint. We loved it!

And finally we made it too Thanksgiving! As usual, I was up early cooking. Once everyone else woke up I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we watched the Macy Day's Thanksgiving Parade. Then the boys decided to paint a football field in the backyard. After 2 hours of work they were finished! I was so impressed. Not too long after everyone came over. It was a great day full of food, family and football. Here's the day in pics...

Friday it's a tradition that the kids go to my parents house and Cameron and I Black Friday shop. Well, there was a lot of good sports on TV so we decided to drop off the kids, go to a couple of stores then head home and lay on the couch all day, watch sports and order take out. It was the best Black Friday we've had in years :)

Saturday morning we woke up early and hit the stores. The funny thing was all the deals from Friday were still going and the stores weren't busy at all. It was perfect! After shopping and delicious lunch out and more shopping we picked up the kids from my parents house. We came home and started putting out our Christmas decorations. Somehow I decorated our entire house in about 4 hours. Well everything but ornaments on the tree. Cameron entertained the boys and Amelia helped me. It was really nice.

Sunday we headed out to my little niece's baptism.

Omgoodness was she adorable.

My brother and his goddaughters.

This was also the same church the boys were baptized at so we had to get a pic.

And here's a Kirchoff Sunday Best pic!

Followed by a silly pic ;)

After the ceremony it was more food and family time!

What a great week! I'm so thankful for this amazing family I have. For our health and love for each other.
