south padre island 2016

This year we put another family beach vacation in the books. My whole family goes...parents, sister and her family and brother and his girlfriend...and every year we have a blast. This year was no exception. Aiden loves the beach. I think he will live at a beach one day and have a marine life job. Asher just loves being with family and all the people that play sports with him. He's a big time family guy. Amelia, for the first time, loved the water and sand. She would just sit and play for hours with her My Little Ponies in the sand and water. Our first evening there she walked into the ocean and every time a wave hit her yelled "this is awesome!" Making memories with these people are what my life is all about.

Enjoy the pics!

The Beach

Both my swimsuits this year are from Albion Fit. I love love love them!!!

It was so nice having our own personal hairstylist Maribel (Elliot's girlfriend) to make Sissy's hair extra cute! And would you know this girl did not barely make a peep while this was being done. If I would have done it WW3 would have ensued ;)

Sea Turtle Rescue Center

Our last day in SPI, Cam and Elliot played golf in the morning so I decided to load up the kids and take them to the Sea Turtle Rescue Center. Aiden loves turtles and did a big project at school last year on endangered sea turtles so I knew this would be a fun little adventure for him. Everyone had a blast!

Golf and Go Carts

Last year we discovered this really fun go cart and golf place. The kids had been begging us to take them while we were in town so our last evening we hit it up! Sis was too small for the go carts so her and I just watched from the sidelines.

She did enjoy playing golf though :)

Family Pictures

This year, unlike last year, we got AMAZING family pictures on the beach. The lighting was perfect and it all just came together. I'll post all of them once I get them from my brother but these were a couple of the kids I took on my phone.

We have gone to South Padre {almost} every summer since 2007. It's very fun to vacation with my family and I know that we are making memories that our kids will cherish forever. As I was sitting back watching everyone this year I couldn't help but imagine family vacations with my kids and their families. I know how important this vacation is to my parents and I hope I can continue the tradition with my kids every summer when they are adults.
