SUMMER: week 4

Monday, June 27, 2016

I think this week was my favorite to far this summer! For the first time ever Amelia was in camp. She did Princess Dance Camp at her dance school for 2 1/2 hours everyday.
She was adorable and I have to admit the time I had with just the boys was pretty great :)

The first 2 days we had lunch out and ran errands...which we all really enjoyed.
who doesn't love free popsicles at the garden store??!!

Then last Wednesday I took them to do a little ceramic painting.
We had the best time! This was the first time I could actually paint something myself being that I am usually wrangling kids try to get them not to break everything ;) Since Sissy wasn't with us I painted her a fairy for her room.

That night Aiden's best friend spent the night with us. This whole "friend spending the night thing" is kind of growing on me. I use to not be such a big fan of it but now that they are older it's quite nice. Our number one rule is that if you have a friend spend the night you have to include your brother. Luckily this has worked out great and both times this week we had a friend over, all 3 boys ended up in the same room that night. I would sneakily listen outside to the door as to what they were talking about. I just love little boys and their innocence. Most of their conversations are about Pokemon or sports :)
Thursday the boys were exhausted from being up late but I still took them to an indoor trampoline place. Then after Sissy's camp we headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for dinner and to visit with my cousin who was in from out of town. It was such a nice evening and by the time we got home the kids crashed!

Friday the boys and I finished a few more errands (and enjoyed another lunch out) before we headed back to Princess Dance Camp for Sissy's performance.
O.EM.GEE!!!!!!! She was adorable. I just love her...and so do her brothers. After every dance she would run over to them and give them the biggest hug. These kids have my heart forever!

Saturday we hosted a pool party for Asher's baseball team. Needless to say this was pretty much Asher's dream come true. Swimming and playing a wiffle ball games in the yard kept the boys busy and entertained.

It was the best afternoon and I really enjoyed getting to know all the families a little better. Asher ended up having his BFF from the team spend that night which was a perfect way to end the evening.

Sunday we woke up and headed to church. Our favorite priest ever announced last weekend that he is leaving to go back to College Station to be pastor and we were devastated. Luckily we were a little late to mass and saw him leaving and stopped and chatted with him a bit. He's been such a wonderful pastor and such a blessing to our church and it's going to be hard to see him go. As he saw us walking up he said "Oh I just love seeing your family, you always make me smile." He is very much going to be missed :)
After church I had the pleasure of getting a few hours to myself to get a much needed mani and pedi for our upcoming trip this week (more on that later). Cameron took the kids to film a commercial that plays at our local movie theater. He sent me this picture while they were filming. So stinkin cute! I can't wait to take the kids to see themselves on the big screen!

We truly had the best week. I got some much needed time with my boys, we all got to spend time with friends and family and the few hours I had to myself completely rejuvenated me for another week!

Some of us were so worn out we couldn't even make it to bed last night...

And others of us (Cam and I) stayed up a little too late watching our favorite show's season finale, Game of Thrones.
Holy moly was it great!!!!!! I am so sad we will have to wait until April to see it again.
