This past weekend was loads of fun!

The boys started off their weekend by staying at me parents house Friday night. After Sis and I dropped them off we headed home to get some outside decorations up.

It was such a nice evening weather wise so being outside was much needed.

Saturday morning we got up, picked up the boys, hit up the donut shop, got all dressed up and off we were to see Santa. After 8 years of standing in line F.O.R.E.V.E.R. I finally got smart enough to schedule an appt. We were in and out on a Saturday afternoon in 15 minutes. We did get tons of dirty looks from parents that had been standing in line F.O.R.E.V.E.R. but I happily spread along the news that you could schedule an appt online to skip the line. To which I received many looks of shock. Yup, felt that before ;)

Anyway, more on the Santa visit later...

After that quick little trip we grabbed lunch and headed out to shop for some ski clothes for Cameron and I. After that {not so fun} shopping trip we were off to watch the Texas Longhorns play the North Carolina Tar Heels in basketball. If you aren't a basketball fan this was a big game...NC was ranked 3 and Texas was not ranked but we were excited to cheer on our Horns! Once a fan, always a fan ;)

The whole game is quite the spectacle.

Bevo {the mascot} comes down from the ceiling at the beginning, tons of balloons are dropped, small fireworks going off inside and my fav part...singing the Eyes of Texas with our horns raised high into the air. I always get a little choked up singing it because it holds so many special memories for me. Growing up in Austin you are a Longhorn fan. It's in your blood. My Dad took us to so many games growing up and now I get to take my kids and spread the love. I just hope and pray they don't make the huge mistake I did and that they actually go to college at UT.

Anyways...back to the game...

I am not at all exaggerating when I say this was hands down the best sporting event I have ever been to. The amount of energy in the stadium was unimaginable
And then we won at the last second {literally}. I have never screamed so loud, my kids have never looked so excited. It was amazing and just so much fun to witness!

Sunday was a bit of a lazy day. The kids had parties in the Religious Education class that morning and after that we headed home and stayed there. Asher finished his homework, Aiden and I built the Alamo out of sugar cube {which was FUN}

Aiden did the design...I just helped with the hot glue gun.

Cameron did some work and Sissy just chilled.

That evening we lit our pink advent candle at dinner and read the readings to go along with it. More on our advent celebrations later this week too ;)

Hope your weekend was fun and relaxing. I cannot believe Christmas is so close and I am just over the moon excited! I have so much Christmas excitement to share on the blog this week!
