From a zombie DJ, a minion-clown-witch (long story) and Finn from Adventure Time!

Oh and...............................................the potential buyers accepted our counter offer so we officially have a contract on the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our first offer!

Thursday, October 30, 2014

Late last night, around 10:30pm to be exact, we got our first offer on the house! I was so excited...then confused...and then like what the heck, really??!! The price was lower then we thought and they want our playscape and TV's. After talking to Cameron and easing my mind we are counter offering this evening and now I'm SO super excited and hope this all goes through! Please say a little prayer for us if you get a chance :)

I believe this guy had a part in this whole process and for that I am thankful

We prayed to him every time we had a showing and it's paying off. The power of prayer I tell ya!

Even if for some crazy reason this doesn't go through I am still very thankful that we did actually get an offer and it gives me hope that people really do like our house :)

Oh and did I mention IT'S AN ALL CASH OFFER!!!!!!!! HOLLA!!!!!!!!!

it's foundation day!!!!

Hallelujah!!!!! Cameron stopped by the new house this morning to see this

I'm so super excited! I will definitely be stopping by myself to get a closer look ;)

And on the home selling front we had our 1st second showing last night! A couple came by Monday afternoon to look at the house and instead of running errands like I usually do I did a little spying, ha! I parked my car on a cross street with a good view of the house. I watched them go in and come out. As they were coming out they were really checking out the house and street. I figured that might be a good sign. Monday evening we heard from our Realtor that they wanted to see the house again yesterday evening. We were pretty stoked and I spent most of yesterday doing a little extra tweaking to the house to make it perfect! I left around 6:10pm, they were scheduled to come at 6:15pm, ran to the grocery store, came back at 7:28pm and they were still here! OMG I was SO excited! Plus there were 4 cars outside the house. I slowly drove down the street and saw a bunch of people standing in the living room (which is have to say was so super weird) and it looked like a couple and maybe their parents. So now we wait...and wait...and I'm usually a pretty relaxed, patient person but not now. I'm freaking out and anytime the phone rings or I get an email on my phone I think it's the Realtor. Even if for some reason they don't make an offer I still feel okay about it because we do have 2 other families interested.

pumpkins, baseball and house update!

Monday, October 27, 2014

We have had a very busy (but fun) past week. Asher had his end of the season baseball tournament which resulted in a few late nights during the week for us. Add to that showing the house (which means keeping it constantly clean) and Cameron working all the time due to his busy season and that leads to a bunch of very exhausted family. Friday because I could barely get the kids out of bed for school because they didn't get to bed until 10pm Thursday night due to baseball, and Cameron informed he would be working late, I decided to bust the kids out of school early and head to a pumpkin patch. So I convinced my sister to do the same with my niece and off we went to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch. It was a super hot October day here in central Texas but we had a blast anyway! I loved surprising the boys by picking them up early. They came walking out as if something was wrong but smile quickly took over their little faces when they found out that for the day they had a cool mommy ;)

Little Sissy was so stinking cute! She loved the pumpkins and just kept saying "mo punkins" "one punkin, two punkin" and "oh wow!"

We had an open house the weekend before with not a great turn out so our Realtor wanted to have another over this last weekend. I was not too keen on the idea but went with since we were going to be out of the house anyway due to baseball games. I was glad I did because we had 7 families come by! We are 2 interested but no offers yet so fingers crossed!

As for baseball, well our Iron Birds won the championship! Not a bad way to end a busy week :)

And on the new home front, it seems every time I drive out there something new is happening...which is quite exciting!

Looks like it's getting close to pouring the foundation! Woo hoo!!!!!

Finally...the bathroom post!

So our new home will have 4 full bathrooms and a powder room. I really enjoyed picking out everything for the bathrooms because I love bathrooms! I think they need to feel soothing and have always looked at it as a nice place to relax and unwind. I am also SO super excited that the boys have a Jack and Jill bathroom. This is something I have always wanted for them. Milly will have her own bathroom, then there is 1 downstairs by the guest bedroom and then ours.

Here are a couple of pictures of the boys bathroom from the house we visited back in September. Unfortunately their master was completely different from ours so I didn't even take pics.

We are taking out the arch and doing a straight line. We aren't really an arch type of family :)

We are also adding a second sink so they can each have their own.

Here are the choices we made.

Wall color and then the oval is the counter color. The white subway tile will be the tile in the showers. The floor tile will be a dark gray (look below at the master bath.)

bathroom hardware

Here's another picture of the light fixture package we selected so you can see the bathroom lights.

Here's a picture standing in Aiden's room. They will have a little bathroom hallway to each other's room.

While I am very excited about those bathroom I'm most excited about ours! As I said in the kitchen post I really wanted Carrera marble in the kitchen but they wouldn't install it due to staining. So the next best place was my bathroom!

The square in the corner is the counter top, the white tile is the shower and bathtub tile, the long skinny glass tiles are the shower and tub accent, the dark tile is the flooring in all bathroom, mud room and laundry room and the dark cabinet is the cabinet color in all bathroom.

I am seriously in love with our choices! I cannot wait to see it all together. Cameron was a little nervous about having different color cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen but I've never been a huge fan of white cabinets in bathrooms. I like how this feels warm and spa like. Our stand up shower in the bathroom will also have a seamless glass like our shower in our current house.

So they you have it...our bathrooms!

house update

Monday, October 20, 2014

After we got back from Disney, we had a family come and look at our current home Sunday. So while the boys were in religion class Cameron and I decided to drive out to the new house. To our surprise this is what we saw!

After our meeting with Sam (construction guy) we were thinking that maybe the land would be cleared. We were overjoyed to see the frame for the foundation.

We walked on it and I finally got a great picture of the backyard.

Then last Wednesday I took my parents out to the lot for the first time and to my surprise they were putting in the plumbing! Ahhhh!!!! It's just so exciting and getting SO real. I love how the boys are getting to see each step in the building process. It is funny that while I was memorized at the machine digging the plumbing holes Aiden was more interested in poking a cactus with a stick and Asher was throwing rocks ;)

As for the selling process I guess it's going well. We've had 7 showings with 2 families that seemed interested. One was over the weekend but they are currently in a rent house and have their lease to deal with. Our Realtor says that even the people who are not interested are commenting on how beautiful and well kept the house is and how they love the location. So far the only hold backs are they need a bigger house, smaller house and no 2 story. So it makes me feel good that they do love the house and the things they need are things we can't change.

Look later this week for a bathrooms post!

Disney World!

Thursday, October 16, 2014

We are back!

And I think I might finally be recovered ;) I never in a million years imagined how insanely exhausted we would be. And the laundry...holy moly!

But we had an amazing time...better then I ever imagined. My heart is happy and full and I am already looking forward to when we take Amelia in 5 years. Yes...we are waiting until she is 7. I saw way too many screaming toddlers that it scarred me. And I'm a mom of 3, I thought nothing could scare me. I was wrong. The thought of pushing a stroller with a screaming toddler through"the happiest place in the world" scares me to death ;)

Okay on to the pictures!

This trip was the first time the boys had ever been flying! They were SO excited. I made them cute shirts that said "Going to Disney World." It was fun having people comment on them :)
you are being for warned that Asher has a very had time acting normal in pictures

As we were getting on the plane the pilot asked the boys if they wanted to try out flying the plane. Aiden was nervous about it and thought he was serious...Asher really wanted to ;)

Once in Florida we headed to our resort. It was SO nice! I was shocked. We stayed at the Disney All Star Sports resort. It was one of the least expensive resorts and some of the reviews I read were questionable. However I have no idea what those people were talking about. It was super nice, clean and perfect size room.

So our first stop on our trip was breakfast with Mickey and then Magic Kingdom! I have to say that I was a little taken back at how busy it was. The place was seriously packed!!! People had told me how nice it would be with no waits and that's what I was expecting. Oh no...we had more then a few 60 minute waits for rides. My advice is to always expect it to be busy, then you might be pleasantly surprised ;) Oh and that itinerary I spent 4 hours making. It was totally worth it. It kept us on track and we did every ride that we wanted! Plus it was nice to write what we liked and didn't for next time. I highly recommend taking the time to do one.

One of our favorite parts of MK was meeting Mickey in the Town Square. It's the only Mickey (or character) that actually talks. It was pretty magical...I recommend it to everyone! When we left Aiden looked at me and said "I think that was the real Mickey."

really Asher?!

We met lots of other characters at the parks as well

I mean really Asher? You know it's going to be bad when the photographer can't stop laughing ;)

We rode lots of rides! Some of these pics are my favorite! I was so proud of Asher for going on all the rides. Aiden is our little dare devil so he was practically running to them. Asher was pretty nervous on most (that's why I'm holding him in a few pics) but he was super brave and the only ride he didn't like was Tower of Terror.
This is my fav...priceless! Ha!

We visited all 4 parks...Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

At Hollywood Studios the boys did Jedi Training. They loved...and so did their dad. After the training Darth Vader comes in and they fight him.

We also went to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This was our favorite part of the whole trip! I highly recommend it to anyone who goes in September or October. It was so fun, had the best parades and the best fireworks I've ever seen. Plus they only sell a certain number of tickets so the park wasn't crowded at all. It was some serious fun!

The Headless Horseman brings in the parade. Very cool and a little spooky!

I have many, many more pictures (321 to be exact) so choosing only a few was hard. But I chose most of my favs. We had an amazing trip and I truly feel lucky we were able to go. I cannot wait to go back with my little Milly...5 years though...I promise!
